December 10, 2009 in Words of Wisdom

December 9th 2009 Wednesday Message Summary

Scriptures: Matthew 18:21-35

All the words in the bible and the words that are spoken through revelations, we need to understand the fundamental meaning to all of it. If you don’t understand properly, things end in vain. You must understand and put it into action.

The Lord’s words are difficult to understand if you were to just try to read it literally. There must be conditions that are set for us to truly dive deeper and fully understand the Bible. So people who are able to give the words that are fitting of the world’s logic and reasoning are so necessary to help people understand the fundamental truths of the word.

In today’s scriptures, the King let the servant go of the debt he owed him. However, he didn’t simply let him go, he told him to sell all of his possessions and then pay him back later. The servant was willing to sell everything he had to pay back the debt. With that, the King felt compassion and forgave him of his sins. We are like this servant before God and the Lord. We must do like he did, then God will have mercy on us and forgive us.

Why was the King so stern when he asked for the servant to pay back his debt? The reason why is because he wasn’t paying anything back and all he focused on was living his own life. In the same way, God gives us so many things, yet we don’t pay back the debt by meeting with him, conversing with him, praising him, etc.

The time has come where the Lord is locking us up and he is asking us to pay the debt. It is a time we cannot be physical and we have to pay everything back. Paying back our debt to God is like a fruit tree bearing fruits. We must pay back the debt with evangelism. If the trees do not bear fruit, the owner will cut the tree down and use the spot for something else.

All of us are like people who are indebted to God. All the sins we committed too, there is no way for us to resolve all of it with our strength alone. We must confess with all of our hearts and confess that we will sell everything to pay off the debt of grace to God. We must not appease God only with our lips; we must confess without any lies and mean it.
The King knows you cannot pay off every single debt. He tells you to give up everything and then it will be called even. We are like the servant who owed 10,000 talents to the King. We must say the things the servant said and live for the Lord. But if we just say that only, then all will be revealed in the end. We must mean it when we say it.

So the next part of the story says that the servant was so happy he was forgiven of his debt. But on the way he met someone who owed him money too and demanded him to pay him back. He didn’t forgive this person and threw him in prison. He was forgiven, yet he couldn’t forgive. He was a man who had no conscience. He went from having a heartfelt plea to the king to a person with no conscience. In return, the King found out about it and didn’t forgive him after.

If we have been forgiven, we must forgive others of any and all wrongs they have committed against us. People are forgiven for a lot of things, but can’t tolerate other people for doing wrong against them. You must fix this. You must think of the grace you have received and give grace back as well.

You must do as you promise to God when you are praying. When praying, people pray with sincerity, but when someone who wronged them appears, they get emotional, they can’t forgive, and then they will be dealt with according to their deeds. 80-90% of people do this. However the person who has done wrong should also repent and pay back what they should.

This year was said, “Lord, wait just one more year.” Now, we must plead with God and tell him that we will devote our bodies and sell everything we own to repay God and the Lord’s grace. If we do, he will have pity on us and forgive us because he knows we ultimately cannot repay all our debt. What we must do is also forgive those around us and who have wronged us. If we really want to appease God’s heart and make him happy, put these words into practice. “Make sure you do at least that,” the Lord says.

The Lord said, “I, Jesus, who is messiah, forgave till the end too. There are people who went to hell even though I forgave them till the end. The reason they went to hell wasn’t because I didn’t forgive them. Just because you forgave them doesn’t mean they will all go to heaven. They have to forgive and they have to repent too. If a person is forgiven of something big but doesn’t forgive, their spirits will remain bound and they will go to eternal world of death. There is no one who went to hell because I didn’t forgive them and there is no one who will go to hell because you didn’t forgive them.”

Once you are forgiven, never sin again. Once you forgive, don’t treat them like a sinner again.
